Les Aupiais, one of South Africa’s most versatile, experienced and creative media figures, has worked in front of and behind the cameras. She is a former reporter, now guest presenter and director on South Africa’s most influential investigative news programme, Carte Blanche. She is a communications coach, journalist, author, MC and key note speaker on topics such as micro-trends in SA.

 

 

 

CATHERINE BOWEN

As the heartful shopper (aka Catherine Bowen), she is a fashion enthusiast and a personal stylist. She is the owner of Dress Sense, which is a boutique style consultancy established in 2007. Her clients are individuals, businesses and brands. What she does is the culmination of her studies in psychology, experience in the fashion world and her two greatest passions in life: fashion and people!

 

 

 

ANNE ROSELT

Anne Roselt is the Colour Manager at Plascon. She is South Africa’s foremost colour trend forecaster, having formed part of the International Colour Authority, a London-based entity, for over 10 years. She is now part of the renowned global trend panel, Mix. Anne will be presenting on the 2014 Colour Forecast and showcasing the new directions for colour for next year.

 

 

 

SOMA

Heather Thompson from Soma Confection will present on how Soma “was born of a need to quiet my mind and get to know my body better, some people meditate to do this, I prefer to eat chocolate. Good chocolate. Chocolate without chemicals and preservatives in it. Organic. Ethical. Did I mention good? Good. The word Soma means ‘of the body’ and it also describes my inspiration for making chocolate – the world within each of us and the senses that grant us access to that inner space.” Heather comes with a suprise element too, so bring your tastebuds and a willingness to expand your mind

There will be a temporary, transient, fleeting, catch-it-if-you-can Karien Belle Boutique pop-up before ‘n just after trendtalk#6, which will be run by trendtalk speaker and fashion stylist Catherine Bowen. Bring money printed on paper (EFT is also ok) and leave with stylish imported label stuff with unstylish (as in affordable) price labels.
